![]() AC's death in the uncensored Polish version includes a rather offputting hissing/choking sound. He's somewhat implied to spend most of his time asleep.AC appears to have frozen back to his inanimate form some time after his death, suggesting that he may not have died immediately.In-between shots during certain cottage scenes, AC can be seen in the background, in some, he appears unfrozen and sleeping, while in others, he's frozen and inanimate. He is one of the two only characters to use the word "static" in the first film.In the film, his dials seem to disappear between acts, not being visible during his main speaking debut, but remaining visible in all of his other appearances.Throughout his appearances, his height remains very inconsistent ranging from being the average size of a window AC unit (~2ft), to near Kirby's height.According to director Jerry Rees, AC cries tears of Freon, which is a type of coolant.Air Conditioner's last appearance shows him crying with joy at finally experiencing an act of kindness.įor the rest of the trilogy, AC is never seen or mentioned again. He finds him mostly intact but inoperable, repairing him offscreen when the scene cuts away. Roughly 3 days later, Rob returns to the cottage with Chris to retrieve the other appliances (himself not included). This sends him into an emotional breakdown that, after going on a lengthy rage-filled tangent, causes him to overheat and explode. The others (namely Toaster) begin directing the judgement he gave towards himself, bringing up the fact that, of course, he had never truly interacted with the young master, being stuck higher than the child could reach. Through this argument, he repeatedly instills the (unfortunately true) idea that the appliances in the cottage had been abandoned. Later in the morning, he begins taunting the others after Blanky's picture of the master is shattered, instigating an argument. Immediately upon waking, he powers himself on and appears to go back to sleep. ![]() In the beginning of the film, he is woken up by Lampy and Radio fighting, starting the chain reaction of the appliances on the first floor waking up. Not much is known about his past, but in the Novella, he's mentioned to have arrived in the cottage after everyone else (except Toaster, who arrived last.) Unlike the other characters, he does not have a visible cord throughout all of his appearances. Air Conditioner is a light gray Air Conditioning Unit with lighter gray vents, darker gray under-eyes, and two dials on the right side of his face. ![]()
